KidsConnect
KidsConnect Summer Camp is an enriching therapeutic day program for children and adolescents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities aged 8-21 years old. This summer camp runs for one to two weeks at the end of summer when other programs are not in operation and offers children many fun and engaging recreational activities!
Our signature camp activities include morning yoga to start the day, arts and crafts, swimming, tie-dye shirt projects, karaoke, playground time, and more! The Camp is held at Circleville Park in the Town of Wallkill, and we encourage all of our campers to explore all that the park has to offer. We go for walks around the lake, utilize the playground spaces, and go swimming in the lake daily!
KidsConnect is facilitated by our trained staff members and is supported by volunteers. KidsConnect Summer Camp has a Registered Nurse (RN) present on location at all hours that the camp is running. To be eligible to apply for a position as a camp counselor or staff member, individuals must be at least 18 years of age, have a background check completed, and be fingerprinted. Volunteers must be over the age of 16 but must still have a background check and be fingerprinted. We accept and encourage local high school students looking to acquire volunteer hours for college applications or honor society requirements to apply!
